In 1996, Mattel decided to retail the most expensive Barbie doll so far at a price of 900 dollars. This Ultra Limited Edition of 10,000 dolls is still very wanted among collectors, although her price nowadays has gone down to less than 300 dollars. She was Mattel's luxurious extravaganza of the nineties packed up in a huge box.
